I agree with your example of James argument. I also believe you always have to try at least one thing to accomplish anything in life. In and agreeing with James conclusion makes a true statement with most events in life.

I agree with you conclusion of Clifford’s argument is true. Having evidence does make more sense in most situations. I like how you explain how its valid to you because you understand his belief in evidence.

The fact that Plato describes the beds into reality and pulls God’s power into making a bed which the carpenter made can show Plato’s way of thinking. I like how you describe how poets can be deceivers to simple minded people.
I agree with you response of how people are easily deceived by the images they watch on social media. The ways the prisoners are described can show how much they interpret into reality and how forceful they fight other people beliefs. Just like in the reading the prisoner is let free and once he comes back with the knowledge he has the other prisoners fight back saying he is crazy and not wanting to be apart of his new found knowledge of the real world.

I thought it was very interesting how you interpreted how are comes from human emotions and can be connected to the art is some way. The tone Aristotle give is the understanding in art. Which I get what he thinks is good from bad and the artist that does a bad job of representing art can be his definition of imitation.

Plato believes the imitation of reality to the fake worlds can be the concept of everyone being distracted by the bigger picture. Like you said artist are the original creators of the piece of artwork that God is the creator of all can be deceiving to others and Plato’s way of thinking. I personally think Plato’s way of thinking can be contradicting because the more he tells us not to be fooled by artist or poets he tells us to listen to him.

I like your connection to Plato’s Allegory of the Cave and the film because of the different realties the film portrays and links to Plato’s way of thinking and shows the multiple layers of reality and his way of interpreting art form. The connection to the men in the cave and the players in the movie shows the difference to who knows whats real and how easily people can be fooled by this reality.

I agree with your statement, And I also believe Tolstoy main belief was to have the artist feel a connection with their art and the viewer to be pulled in the art and also feel emotion. The infectiousness is only the main connection the person has toward the artist art and believes this is perfect art and can be considered real art.
In my post about something I see as art I try to find something modern and something that I remembered growing up. I chose to talk about the show Adventure time because in my opinion art can be anything if you put your effort in it and have a passion doing it. Just like Tolstoy he wants the artist to have a passion into their art and has the three conditions.
Thank you for your insight about Tolstoy agreeing. I also think Tolstoy has a way of describing infectiousness but telling the artist and the viewers it must have a connection and see the true meaning of art but also his three conditions to tell fake art from real art.
Well I personally agree with your statement because what would we need a mind without a body to do the stuff our minds tell us to do. His way of think just adds to his argument of the mind and body also his way of doubting everything. You can see in the second meditation he starts to go feeling into thinking after doubting life itself and also a creating or a “evil genius” that’s controlling every single thing he does. So in my opinion it must’ve crossed his mind at some point or he just doubts everything you need your senses for.
I understand where your coming from with the comedy sense. But as a show it has to have that hook to draw in more views and that’s why I stated that Tolstoy might not see it at art but in a way this show has a positive message and draws kids to a better way of thinking. Also knowing yourself personally makes this show good. I feel like most of the episodes have deeper meaning like later in the show they bring a girl version of the show just to appeal to female viewers. Which I thought was a good message towards everyone showing it could be good in every way boy or girl protagonist.
I agree with your second paragraph about his argument with dualism. He doesn’t find the physical essence of the body to be true as well as thinking the mind is the only true aspect of ones self.
The way he starts to doubt himself and his senses in the first meditation can lead you to his way of thinking what leads him to this madness also later in the writing he describes he is being controlled by a (Evil Genius). What do you think when he says to forget the senses and just focus on your mind and your path is being controlled and to question everything?
I agree with your eyewitness argument Leonard claims he only uses facts as evidence and claims they are worthless. He also says peoples memories can be false and can’t be telling the 100% truth. For example look at his condition he uses photo graphs as facts and most of the time he had a different reason for writing on the photos.
I agree with your statement on Leonard just capturing the moment and how bad memories could be. He uses the photos to remind himself of what’s happening and where he left off. But in a way he isn’t getting the full picture.
